pictures of the boys!

Okay so now it's time to see if I can get some pictures on here. The above is Winsey. The below is Waldo. Waldo's didn't turn out so great as he was attacking the camera string. Still need to cut the size on Miss Kitty's photo, but I'll post it soon.

I put brand new collars on all 3 of the cats yesterday. Red, blue, and green with their names and my phone number printed on all. It's very cute. I think I need to start getting some sensitive stomach brand foods for the cats. Miss Kitty is having some vomit trouble. Hairball treats help, so I bought some for her but I want to see if changing the food around will help her at all. I'm not particularly stressed about this though because she had hairball troubles as a kitten too... even though she's short hair.

Miss Kitty and Winsey have had some admirers at the Inn. People coming in for tours. Miss Kitty likes to suck up to them and Winsey just looks plain cute! I can just imagine getting offers on them, but there's no way I'm letting one of my cats go. They're my kids.

Improvement

Yay! Waldo, Miss Kitty, and Winsey have been cageless the past couple of weeks at work due to it being really full. I went to visit last Friday and saw them all 3 back in a cage. They looked sooo cute together, and the best part is that they didn't seem to mind each other! I'm glad. Must remember to bring camera tomorrow. There are some kitty hip treats down there that I think I might purchase for Winsey. I can't tell if his hips are bothering him or not, but I was watching him sit in his old man kinda fashion and I thought it can't hurt to try! He seems to be relaxing. I think he's finally forgiven me for uprooting him and taking him home for a week. He's back to rolling around and getting his tummy rubbed. He'll sit on top of cages and stick out a paw at whoever walks by.

I took Miss Kitty to a hotel to spend the night with me last week. I'm debating on trying with Waldo. I don't think I'll try with Winslow though. He's been through so much that the next time I take him anywhere, I want it to be his new home. Plus, the hotel beds are blocked on the bottom so he wouldn't be able to hide under there. So I just play with him at the Inn.

Miss Kitty can't make up her mind as to which food brand she prefers. I was feeding her Friskies dry, but then she kept breaking into the Whiskas bag (and I heard that Waldo was doing the same) so I switched them. The last time I was there, she was helping herself to the Science Diet Light. Apparently that's her new favorite - she wants to go on a diet!

Happy Birthday!

Waldo and Miss Kitty turned 2 yrs today! Happy birthday to them. I went to the Inn and made them 'cakes and ice cream' to celebrate. Cake: 1 can of fancy feast taken out whole. frosting = kitty treats sprinkled on top. Yesterday I received a sample can of Sheba in the mail which made perfect for what looked like a scoop of ice cream on the side! I gave Winsey some ice cream as well. I think he appreciated it more than the other two as they're not really canned food babes. I took some bad pictures with my phone since I forgot to grab the camera before I went down. Not sure if they're really worth posting.

Received in the mail today notices for Waldo and Miss Kitty saying that I need to register their rabies vaccinations. Requires money of course. I'm not planning to complete the registration seeing as I'm leaving for Colorado soon anyway. Most likely I'll have to register all 3 cats out there.

Winsey was more sociable today then he's been in past visits. He was rolling around at my feet again. I was encouraged. Maybe I'm not such a bad nightmare to him after all :) I really hate the fact that I can't begin our new lives together yet.

It's been a while

I tried to post earlier, but for some reason the website wanted me to download something on my computer. So now I am on my dad's computer.

I saw my kitties yesterday! It was an exciting time. The Inn was nice enough to let me in even though they were closed. It had been a month since I'd seen them. Waldo and Miss Kitty of course were very excited. They followed me around meowing and got jealous when other cats came near. Even Toby (who has been boarding at the Inn for a year and seems to be Winslow's best friend) followed me around happy to see me back. Winslow was a little more wary as he's not quite adjusted to the change in his life. I started the visit by spending time with him, but I think if anything it just made me more anxious for a time when I can take him with me permanently and we can really start the bonding as a family. He does seem very happy at the Inn with Toby though. I plan to visit them again tomorrow.

I don't know when I will be able to start my Colorado adventures. I now have a surprise (required) trip to Boston that I must complete before I can begin my drive. I can very easily picture the summer slipping into fall before I get out there. As long as I beat the snow eh? Not so bad now that I have the freedom to visit with the cats whereas this past month I've been unable.
