The Boys

The boys have been at it again. Last night Waldo was hiding under the covers and Winslow insisted on batting at him non-stop. This morning it was reversed. Winslow was under the covers and Waldo insisted on batting at him. At some point they were both on top of the bed by my feet and I could hear/feel the two of them doing their boxing routine. Those two definitely keep me entertained.

Miss Kitty in one of the new Christmas beds. This is the one she chose.

My satisfied Waldo - he's actually on the heated blanket.

Can't take it!

Cats would not let me sleep. I have overdosed on every sleeping aid available. Waldo & Miss Kitty are locked in their carriers upstairs. I've taken vicodin, ambien, nyquil, tylonal pm, sleep aid... I'm going crazy. it's 5:10am. I just want to sleep. Surprised I haven't puked yet. Most likely will want to when I try some breakfast. Darn cats. Would not settle down. Hotel tomorrow? Why? Why did they all have to be so hyper? Seriously debating hotel room tomorrow night. Take nice hot bath. Soak feet.

hyper!

I have 3 very hyper kitties running around. I'm not sure what got sprayed into the air, but I am constantly going from counter to couch and back trying to stop one of them from tearing apart the place. It's mainly miss kitty (with her innocent little face), but the boys are running around too.

Bump on the head?

Last night I heard one of the cats crash into the wall during the usual runaround. Today Waldo is very sensitive about his head. He usually loves to be scratched on the head, but today he's shy about letting me touch it.

Gee, wonder who ran into the wall last night...

I love my babies

It really is an honor to have 3 live beings who depend on me and to know I'm doing a good enough job that they choose to follow me from room to room.

Also that they're willing to put up with each other just to be with me. We're all four watching Home Videos at the moment, but no one looks particularly relaxed.

Torture in the Night

Winslow was on his worst behavior last night. He got hyper and refused to settle down. When I got up to take some vicodin, he and Waldo ganged up - meowing constantly and refusing to leave my feet. Toward morning Winsey finally settled down on my pillow. I expected him to leave as he usually does, but he didn't. The next 3 hours showed a tickle fest on my face any time I slightly moved in my sleep. It was a long night, but finally when I did roll myself out of bed for the day - things began their normal routine. Waldo and Winsey were sleeping together at the foot/middle of my bed. When I woke up, Winsey began the usual cleaning of Waldo. Waldo started out enjoying the bath and then began to swat at Winslow when he'd had enough. It usually take a few swats before Winsey gets the hint and moves on to groom himself. Those two constantly bat at each other - in play mostly. I never hear the nails come out, but I keep them short just in case.

Evenings with the kitties

I've spent the past two nights watching TV with Winslow. He comes out and joins me after his day of sleeping in my bed. In fact, last night it took me over an hour to write an e-mail due to the fact that Winsey insisted on curling up in my arms. Tonight, Miss Kitty is keeping me company. I got up not long ago and noticed that Waldo was sleeping in my closet. I was a little curious to this as he usually doesn't. Walking into my room, I saw for the first time ever, my big orange kitty sleeping inside the bed that Waldo usually uses. I laughed - so that explains it!

A couple of more pictures

Miss Kitty is hard to get a good picture of, but here's one.

Winslow is the most photogenic.

A New Year

It's cold! 30 degrees outside. The boys are snuggled on my bed, Miss Kitty is sleeping on the heated blanket next to me. She hogs that thing like crazy. Somehow she figures out how to turn it on and whenever I look over, she's toasty warm on it! Waldo & Miss Kitty really liked the new beds for a while. Winslow stayed with me on my bed. After a few days, the excitement died down and Waldo & Miss Kitty have now rejoined us on the big bed. Occasionally I'll see them in one of the cat beds. Oh well. Krystal comes tomorrow and with her comes a new tent. They started selling them at the Inn and I remember Waldo really liked them, so we'll see if he still does.

Winslow has decided that everyone needs bathing. Waldo likes it, although after several minutes of being licked - decided he'd rather play. That kind of confused Winslow who then moved on to lick my arm raw.

Last night was the first night in several that I didn't have to get up and take a toy away from one of the boys. It seems like every night they find some toy they love and go haywire, making a bunch of noise in the process. Waldo's favorite toys: the gray balls that are supposed to be on the scratch post and his little stuffed cat that he chose when he was a kitten. Winslows favorite toy: miss kitty's christmas stocking. It's really cute watching him walk around with a stocking in his mouth. Miss Kitty: little toy mice. There was a red one at the Inn that she loved, but basically any of those little mice.
